Asian Collage captures the feel and color of the Orient. Nine panels are stitched in rich jewel tone silk and shimmering metallic threads. Some of the stitches used include: Layered couching, Florentine, Or Nue, Woven Effect, Padded Couching, Gobelin, Layered Trellis, Herringbone, Flat Stitch, and Double Alternating Nobuko. Silk threads, such as Needlepoint Inc, Sylke Twist, Elegance and Grandeur are used in values of purple, clove, and jade. Gold metallic threads are used to add shimmer. The final touch is the addition of five wire bundles which you will make from brass mesh wire and hexagonal beads. When complete you will have a beautiful sampler of Asian patterns.

Size: 12" X 14" design on Ecru Congress Cloth

Student will Supply:

* Stretcher bars – 12” X 14”
* Thumb tacks or staples to attach canvas to bars
* Usual stitching supplies including extra needles in various sizes
* Frame weight or holder so both hands are free to stitch
* Light and magnification are optional but recommended
