Susan Stevens, the author of Supplementary Notes for Japanese Embroidery, (considered “the Bible” in Japanese Embroidery) will be sharing her extensive first hand knowledge of the Art of Japanese Embroidery. She started her journey under Master Iwoa Saito in the early 1980's. From 1998 -2008, Susan truly fine-tuned her skills to a superior level after completing over 10 years stitching professionally in the workshop in Togane City, Japan at Kurenai-Kai. Many of her pieces she stitched while studying at Kurenai-Kai were sold at the annual fall sale, which is absolutely the highest honor bestowed to an American embroiderer. Susan will be holding a studio time for Japanese Embroidery at BBST 2012. A student may attend 2-days of his or her choice or simply all four days. Bring a current Japanese Embroidery piece and receive expertise advice on the 46 techniques found in this unique surface embroidery. Honest critiques will be imparted so come ready to improve your skills.
Student will Supply:
Everything necessary to work on the student's project.
