Let your passion show in this one-of-a-kind paisley purse embellished with beads, Dorset buttons, and Swarovski crystal beads on a foundation of appliquéd Ultrasuede, silk threads and metallic braids. Paisley Passion is available in six color schemes. Students may copy the paisley patterns featured in the model or use them for inspiration. Choose your favorite color scheme and let your imagination flow and create the paisley palette that best expresses your stitching passion.

Students will learn to work with Ultra Suede on canvas - to transfer and cut an Ultra Suede pattern, appliqué the Ultra Suede to unpadded canvas and stitch through and around the Ultra Suede. The appliquéd Ultra Suede shapes will be the foundation for the elaborately decorated paisleys. Students will learn to create Dorset Buttons using multiple patterns. Students will learn to anchor beads to canvas individually, stacked and in strings to create beaded motifs, paisley edgings and stacked trims on the purse band. Students will be provided with diamond shaped canvas stitch patterns for use in the band at the top of the purse and in the body of the purse. Students will be encouraged to create their own interpretation of the model and additional pattern usage will be permitted for those students who want to create a different use project other than a purse.
