402 - Leaf Collage

You will learn how to transfer patterns to canvas using the new Transfer Artist Paper and then use a wide range of thread colors and textures to interpret the leaf sketches of Leaf Collage using a straight stitch sketch technique. Have fun coloring the exposed canvas with a multi-layer marker technique using transparent Copic markers. The canvas you receive in class will have the leaf transfers already in place, but you will also take home a small practice canvas suitable for finishing.
This design is suitable for framing, or finishing as a pillow or tote bag.

Design Size: 10-1/2" X 12-1/2"

Student will Supply:

Stretcher Bars - 1 pair 16" and 1 pair 18" | Tacks or stapler | Frame and/or frame weights | Light (or magnifying light), if desired | Laying tool of choice | PLUS, the usual stitching supplies
